Delta Heritage Projects

The Commission has contracted with a consulting team led by Garavaglia Architecture to develop feasibility studies for three heritage projects in the Delta.

Upcoming Schedule

What is a Heritage Project?

A heritage project could include the preservation, restoration, rehabilitation, adaptive reuse, and/or development of Delta heritage resources, including:

  • Buildings, including businesses (such as restaurants and lodging), museums, and residences
  • Landscapes, including agricultural, environmental, and industrial settings
  • Orchards
  • Parks
  • Gardens
  • Cemeteries
  • Roads, trails, and walkways
  • Public art

What is a Feasibility Study?

The feasibility studies will include a preliminary project description, market demand analysis, conceptual plan, estimated costs, potential partnerships and funding, and the organizational and financial actions needed for public and private partners to help implement the projects.
