Delta Heritage Forum

November 3, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

Registration is open for the Delta Heritage Forum, a free event focused on the preparation of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta National Heritage Area Management Plan, efforts to preserve and tell Delta stories, and opportunities for partnerships and collaboration. This year, the Forum will be a half-day virtual event. Invitees include cultural and historical organizations, federal, state, and local officials, business and civic organizations, those interested in Delta heritage, and the general public.

You can register online now. Login information for the Zoom meeting will be sent after you register.

Sessions and talks are expected to cover the following topics:

  • A status update on the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta National Heritage Area
  • A workshop on the National Heritage Area Management Plan
  • The state of regional interpretation in the Delta and Carquinez Strait
  • A workshop on heritage adventures
  • Photographing the Delta and Carquinez Strait

We are looking for short videos and informal 5- to 10-minute “lightning talks” on topics that would be of interest to Forum attendees. Please contact Blake Roberts at blake.roberts@delta.ca.gov with a short proposal for your video or lightning talk. Visit the 2020 Delta Heritage Forum webpage for videos of last year’s lightning talks.

More information about the National Heritage Area can be found on the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta National Heritage Area webpage.
