Free Aquatic Invasive Species Prevention Workshop – CANCELED

The Division of Boating and Waterways is hosting a free workshop on how to prevent aquatic invasive species (AIS) from spreading. Aquatic invasive species can have negative impacts on California’s water delivery systems, hydroelectric facilities, agriculture, boating, fishing, and the environment. AIS can include quagga and zebra muscles as they can multiply quickly, encrust watercraft, affect water quality, aquatic food web, and native fish communities. Workshop speakers include staff from California State Parks Division of Boating and Waterways, California Coastal Commission, California Department of Fish and Wildlife, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services and the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center.

Register by March 16.
